Aaron Smithson
Mr. Smithson is in his first year as the theater director at North Gwinnett High School. He comes to us from California where he has been working for the past several years. He attended Young Harris for a BA in Theater before attending SCAD for an MFA in Film/Cinema/Video Studies. Mr. Smithson graduated from Collins Hill High School and is glad to return to Gwinnett County Schools in a different capacity. He lives in Suwanee with his wife and their two cats.

Aaron Smithson is an EMMY-nominated director and actor based in Los Angeles with over a decade of experience in production and post-production. His award-winning films, including Best Short at Cinequest Film Festival, have screened at festivals around the world. In addition to his work in the industry, he teaches directing and post-production, bridging professional experience with education.
